Abstract

Conducting an evaluation framework under local’s adaptive capacity for sustainable marine tourism under the aspects of community-based conservation and adaptive capacity for adaptive-based management will help to establish an action plans for the sustainable marine tourism. To our best knowledge, this is the only research into constructing a theoretical framework for sustainable marine tourism under the theory of community-based conservation and adaptive-based management, and the only study to apply such a framework to a case study in sustainable marine tourism in an era of uncertainty. Our research contributes to the development of a model for local’s collaboration and cooperation on adaptive-based management between reef social-ecological systems, and establishes an interdisciplinary platform for incorporating an evaluation.
